According to the BBC Reports, the reason why Iranian High council of Virtual Spaces, have decided to ban the game is due to “Security concerns”. There is no other detail given why this game was actually banned in Iran. BBC also reported “Iran follows a number of other countries in expressing its worries over security related to the game. But it becomes the first country to issue a ban of Pokémon GO, that challenges players to visit real-world locations to catch cartoon monsters” “Despite restrictions on internet usage, Iranians on social media have discussed playing Pokémon GO in recent weeks. Reports last month said Iranian authorities were waiting to see to what extent the game’s creators would co-operate with them before making a decision on banning it.” However, it’s not the first time when any country has raised security concerns regarding the location-based augmented reality game Pokémon GO. As we have seen earlier that Indonesia has banned police officers from playing Pokémon GO during duty hours. Even China doesn’t want to expose all it’s secret bases to Japan and United States. Hence, China reportedly warned it’s all citizens from Playing Pokémon GO.
